My biggest personal highlight this September is that my true love David Wallace-Lawrence has joined me from the UK to spend about a month here in Maine! What a delight! He will be accompanying me to many of my gigs. In addition to a variety of nursing homes, churches, and farmers markets (full schedule here), I’ll be doing these special events:
- Thursday, September 5, 7 PM – Marxophone & Beyond: Vintage Fretless Zithers presentation – Waterborough Historical Society at the Grange Hall, 31 West Road, South Waterboro, ME – free/donations
- Tuesday, September 10, 11 AM – Vintage Grange Songs – Historical Society of Ossipee, NH at Masonic Lodge #74, 535 Route 25 East, Center Ossipee, NH – free/donations – followed by complementary lunch
- Wednesday, September 18, 6:30 PM – Songs of Women’s Suffrage – Bethel Historical Society at the Mason House Barn, 14 Broad St., Bethel, ME – free/donations – The concert will be preceded by a brief ceremony in front of the Dr. Moses and Agnes Straw Mason House at 6 PM to commemorate the addition of Agnes Straw Mason’s name to the official title of the house and to hang the new sign.
- Saturday, September 21 – two shows at the Common Ground Country Fair, Unity, ME – 10 AM on the Spotlight Stage and 1 PM on the Sunflower Stage (children’s area) – included in admission to the Fair
We would both love to see you!
