I’ve had a busy but low-key few months, dealing with breast cancer, fortunately caught early. I just finished radiation treatments this week. My prognosis is excellent, and I’m very grateful for the excellent support and care I’ve received!
I had wanted to reschedule my postponed annual trip to the UK to visit family, friends, and folk clubs. However, despite some mixed messages that raised my hopes, my airline finally proved unwilling to credit the value of my ticket forward, and my trip is again postponed, until fall. My true love David Wallace-Lawrence will be heading over soon for a few months, to see family and to lead interfaith chant in collaboration with his daughter Rebecca Lawrence Crawshaw, sound healing practitioner at Nada Pulse in Richmond, North Yorkshire.
Now that my schedule has come into better focus, I’m taking bookings in all aspects of my work. I’ve already got some nursing home and church gigs lined up for 2020, as well as programs of songs of the women’s suffrage movement, vintage Grange songs, and fretless zithers. I’d love to share some music with you. We need all the beauty, humor, and community we can muster in these challenging times! Please be in touch.
