In early November, after an all-clear breast cancer followup (YES!), I flew to England to rejoin my true love David Wallace-Lawrence. He came here last February to find us new lodging, and got trapped by the pandemic. As I’m younger, it made best sense for me to travel to reunite us. I’m here til early May, a full six months, the maximum “family visit” allowed. As COVID-19 rages, we’re sticking close to home in our new dwelling in the heart of Barnard Castle. That doesn’t mean I’m not busy!
With folk club venues closed, I’m taking part in several regular Zoom singarounds as well as online sessions of the Dales Songwriters Group.
Zoom also allows me to serve as musician for the now-monthly online worship services offered by the Maine Seacoast Mission to the unbridged island communities they serve.
I continue to play for the Dances of Universal Peace at Portland, Maine, now also monthly on Zoom. The Dances pair chants from a variety of world spiritual traditions with simple dance movements. I love playing guitar in open G tuning for this practice!
My recordings are now on Bandcamp. I sell physical CDs here; Bandcamp is the go-to for free listening and to buy downloads.
Finally, I hope you enjoy these players on the front of a nearby 15th-century building as much as I do!
Katherine, you are positively inspiring! ❣️❣️
Shucks, Ruth, thanks! All the best to you and yours!
