Back in Maine – Summer Highlights

In late May, I bid a fond farewell to England, my true love David Wallace-Lawrence, and my bell ringing and Music & Memories friends, and returned to Maine for some medical appointments and work. I hit the ground running and am finally grabbing a moment for an update. I spent most of June on Monhegan, where I played hammered dulcimer and accordion on the Trailing Yew porch and piano and pump organ at the Monhegan Community Church, also performing at the Monhegan Jamboree.

Now back inshore, I’m mostly playing at nursing homes, churches, farmers’ markets, and historical societies. Earlier in July I shared my Marxophone & Beyond presentation on vintage fretless zithers with the Greenwood Historical Society. I also did some Folk Songs of Old New England for the Effingham (NH) Historical Society, revisiting a project I’ve had on the back burner for awhile. Several programs on Vintage Grange Songs are yet to come this summer:

For further details on these and all my upcoming performances, please see my calendar. I love my work!
